Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford was sworn in as Nevada's 34th attorney general in 2019, was sworn in for a 2nd term in 2023, and is the first African American to take a statewide constitutional office. Before being elected Attorney General, AG Ford served six years in the Nevada Senate, including as both Minority and Majority Leader. AG Ford earned his B.A. from Texas A&M University in Interdisciplinary Studies and his M.A. in International Education from George Washington University. He also earned an M.A. in Educational Administration, his law degree and Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Ohio State University.
