Sonny Vinuya currently serves as Governor Lombardo’s Southern Nevada Outreach Director, where he works closely with local government leaders, advocacy organizations, and industry stakeholders throughout Southern Nevada. In this role, he represents the Governor at meetings and community events while identifying issues and opportunities and providing feedback to the Governor’s policy team on potential solutions. He previously served as Director of the Office of Small Business Advocacy.

Prior to joining the State, Sonny was CEO of the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce and served as a Commissioner on the Clark County AAPI Commission. He brings more than 17 years of experience in commercial banking and community leadership.

Sonny serves on several advisory boards, including the Asian Chamber, FBI Community Engagement Board, ACP Advisory Board, and Vietnamese Association Advisory Board. He is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and Leadership Las Vegas and holds a master’s in healthcare administration (MHA) and a degree in Business Management.
